Having Peace in the midst of a Storm

It seems when we set our mind to do that which is right, that which we know the Lord is calling us to do, then our enemy attacks us. He doesn't seem to bother us much when we're being slothful, or just a Sunday Christian.

We set our minds to turn away from the sins that so easily beset us and go for our ministerial work with all our energy and then health and financial problems came at us in a matter of days! How do we overcome the snares of the enemy?

Jesus tells us that is about faith! Do a search for the word faith in the four Gospels and do you know how many times Jesus mentions faith? 29 times! Here are a few scriptures concerning what He had to say about faith:

Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Mat 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Mat 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Mat 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Mat 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Luk 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Luk 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
Luk 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Reading our Lord's Words we see that faith in God is the key to overcoming the world. Have faith that He will provide our daily needs, He will deliver us through the storms of life, He will heal us, He will strengthen us so we can overcome the enemy and then we'll be able to go and help our brothers and sisters to overcome as well. It all starts with faith though!

Faith that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, He did die for our sins, we are forgiven and made joint heirs with Him, He will never leave us nor forsake us no matter how much the enemy wants us to believe otherwise. He delivered us before and He will deliver us again! He will heal us even though the doctors say contrary. He will give you the strength and peace to get through this trial even though you feel like you just can't take it.

Rejoice in Him!

Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Believe His Words, do not let the enemy talk you out of them! Think back to when He delivered you from a crisis before and have faith in Him.

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

God bless you and strengthen you and when you overcome in Him, let your testimony help your brethren to overcome also!

It's Been A While...

We must apologize for not writing more for our ministry, and that is indeed what we look at it as: a ministry.

Mat 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

We must confess that we indeed had let the cares of this world choke off the Word and it definitely made us unfruitful. We're now ready to get back to doing the work that the Lord has set before us and to overcome until the end!

How do you overcome to the end?

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
