The 70th Week Delusion

Most Bible scholars agree that from the commandment of Artaxerxes in 457 BC to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple (Ezr 7:11 - 28), until the baptism of our Lord is 69 weeks or 483 years. Which leaves one prophetic week or 7 years, here's where the debates and false doctrines abound. With a little margin for error on either side you have your 70 weeks or 7×70=490 years. 457 BC to 34 AD is 490 Years. I believe the 70 weeks ended with the stoning (and biting) of Stephen in approx 34AD. Half way through the 70th week the Lord was crucified for us, and after His Resurrection and ascendance to Heaven His disciples continued to preach the Gospel to the Children of Israel until the murder of Stephen (Act 7:54-60). Thenceforth, Peter received from the Lord to preach to the gentiles (Act 10:34-48), and Saul converted on the road to Damascus (Act 9:3-9) and also preached to the Gentiles. 40 years later, like the time in the desert, the destruction and desolation of the Temple and Jerusalem began. It was indeed the end of physical Israel. The Israel of God from then on was comprised of believers, whether they be natural, or grafted in roots into the spiritual olive tree representing Israel (Rom 11).

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week ...” He, is Jesus Christ, many believe the he is “antichrist” but that is demonstrably false. Christ confirms the New Covenant or Testament, with His blood:

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Dan 9:27 … and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease …

His death on the cross officially caused the end to animal sacrificial atonement of sin, although God had told the children of Israel long before He was not pleased with their animal sacrifices.

1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Isa 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Mat 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Dan 9:27 … and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

For the evil done by the Children of Israel, culminating in the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the wrath of God falls upon that final generation of the physical seed of Abraham:

Mat 23:29-38 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Jesus spoke of it even more specifically in other verses:

Luk 21:20-22 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

As you study the 70th Week, and what is taught today, you'll see the 70th week delusion ties in to all the other false doctrines, and has a common thread, to diminish the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and to establish that God still owes something to the physical descendents of Abraham. For further detail on this click here.

The physical descendents of Abraham and their “Christian” Zionist supporters say they have a “Special relationship”, or there's two separate Covenants, one for them, one for everybody else. They say the 70th week was suspended until the end time, and then there is either a pre, mid or post return of Jesus during the final 7 years of tribulation. The common theme is again God owes them still more, regardless of their lack of faith and disobedience, of course it's false doctrines. Invented, perverted Judiazation of the Bible. It all ties together, if they accepted the truth of Daniel 9 they would have to admit that the Messiah, Jesus Christ already came, and they rejected Him and had Him put to death like the prophets before Him.

It's way past time to get real here, face the Biblical truth. Not believing on Jesus and disobedience of His Commandments will get you a one way ticket to the Lake of Fire, not an all expense paid homeland. I have said this before and say it again now: What part of Jesus Christ is the Seed of Abraham (Gal 3:16) don't you understand?

God Won't Break His Promise To His "People"

This is one of the most common and egregious errors in modern Christianity, to assume that God owes something to a certain people because of their physical birthright. This apostasy is so wide spread, so engrained in Christians that it is like trying to teach a person of the Catholic faith the errors of their “Church” doctrine. There are ready made defenses in each case, they are brainwashed from birth to respond to it in a way so as to make it nearly impossible for them to hear the truth. “The land belongs to Israel”. “God will bless those who bless them,” “Replacement Theology”! “God is not a Liar, He will keep His promises!”

These are all responses that further the apostasy, the false doctrines that have played such a large role in getting us to where we are today. Christians have forfeited their birthright, like Esau, and have allowed a people who despise our Lord to gain so much power over them. It may be only the return of our Lord that saves us from a final, cataclysmic World War.

It is falsely taught and believed that the land of Palestine belongs to the physical descendants of Abraham, unconditionally. This has never been the case, it has always been a Covenant dependent upon faith and obedience, just as salvation has always been and still is. The Bible is clear on this, you simply have to forget what the false teachers and prophets have taught you, and read and accept the Word of God, and not the fairy tales that pass for sound doctrine in our time (2 Ti 4:3).

Deu 18:15 – 19 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Act 3:22 -23 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Act 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

Always, from the beginning of God's dealings with men, He has punished disobedience. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the fruit of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil God removed them from the Garden of Eden (Gen 3). Those who disobeyed God after He had freed them from bondage in Egypt were not permitted to enter into the Promised Land, including Moses. Before and after the Children of Israel were in the land God warned them He would remove them if they did not obey His Commandments:

Deu 28:58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD …
Deu 28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Deu 28:64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

Faith and obedience has always been required to enjoy the blessings of the Lord. For men there has never been a Covenant that didn't require these things. That is why to say that God is restoring the nation of Israel to a people who neither believe or obey Him is ludicrous. He is the same yesterday today and forever. He will punish sin and will not reward disobedience, and faith is the only way to please Him. Read the scriptures below and then ask yourself if He would punish those who ate leavened bread so harshly, what would He do if they killed all the prophets and finally His own Son?

Exo 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

We needn't wonder because Jesus told us:

Luk 20:13-16 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him. But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them? He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

God is no respecter of persons, as John the Baptist said He can raise up sons of Abraham from stones (Mat 3:9, Luk 3:8). His promises are for those who believe and obey, no exceptions, regardless of whether or not you can trace your ancestors back to Abraham or not. God has kept His promises and punished those who have been disobedient, after many warnings. The Israel of God continues (Rom 11, Gal 6:16), believers were kept in the Spiritual Olive tree representing it (Rom 11:16-24), and unbelievers were torn out, it is the same today. If those who claim to be Jews but are not (Rev 2:9. 3:9) repented and believed they would be added in to the Israel of God as well, it has nothing to do with the land or their physical birthright, every promise God made to men were fulfilled, along with the law and the Prophets by Christ at the cross and with the revelation that Jesus Christ is the Seed of Abraham (Gal 3:16). All we wait upon now is His return to destroy His enemies and to make the kingdoms of the world His own.

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
