Do you Support Israel?

I hear many self professing “Christians” say “I support Israel”, as if it is a legal requirement of being a Christian. Based upon a wrong reading of Scriptures, many feel it is:

Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

To some that means to support the man-made state of Israel, no matter what they do, no matter how many innocent men, women and children they murder, no matter even if those they murder were Christians, as many have been. They support the man-made State of Israel even though the inhabitants of Israel are of an antichrist, Babylonian, Talmudic religion which has said it is greater than the Word of God:

Despite the evidence above, which clearly shows that modern day Judaism is an antichrist, apostate religion, which has shunned, or made of less importance to themselves the Word of God, many “Christian” Zionists still support man-made Israel, “right or wrong I support Israel” they say. We as Christians are called to preach the Gospel to all the world, but to do so in man-made Israel is difficult, to say the least:

After a lot of research the best that I can determine is that it is technically legal for a citizen of Israel (but not for a foreigner, thus excluding traditional, Biblically mandated missionaries) to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to consenting adults, but not to minors and not with the promise of any type of material gain (there goes the prosperity doctrine approach!). But, in so doing you will encounter a lot of resistance from the more orthodox or fundamental sects of Judaism, which is the predominate religion in Israel:

To “Christian” Zionists that may be reading I urge you to read your Bibles and follow the sound advice:

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Our only dealings with the unbelieving, man-made nation of Israel is to preach the Gospel to them, as commanded. No one is rewarded for evil in the Bible are they? To treat the apostate Jews in man-made Israel as blessed when they are in open rebellion to God is to call evil Good and good Evil!

Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

To yoke yourselves to unbelieving Jews, Muslims, Hindus or any other is to be in league with the spirit of the antichrist! A true Christian is the light of the world as we await our Savior’s return and an unbeliever is condemned already and is awaiting their eternal condemnation unless they come to Christ before the age of grace closes. Do not be fooled by the trappings of a false religion, remember:

Joh 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The unbelievers don’t know God, because they never knew Jesus, and until they accept Jesus as Messiah they can never come to know God the Father! Remember Jesus said to the Children of Israel that they would not see Him again until they acknowledge that God the Father sent Him, that He is indeed their Messiah:

Mat 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Jesus also told them that their city and Temple would be destroyed, and they would be scattered all over the earth:

Luk 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Luk 19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
Luk 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
Luk 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

According to John Wesley‘s commentary: Thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee around - All this was exactly performed by Titus, the Roman general.
And JFB’s commentary: (Robert Jamieson, A.R. Fausset, and David Brown) a trench — a rampart; first of wood, and when this was burnt, a built wall, four miles in circuit, built in three days - so determined were they. This “cut off all hope of escape,” and consigned the city to unparalleled horrors. (See Josephus, Wars of the Jews, 6.2; 12.3, 4.) All here predicted was with dreadful literally fulfilled.

Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luk 21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
Luk 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Luk 21:23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

And on to Daniel where the rejection of their Messiah and the resulting punishment of the unbelieving, disobedient Jews, the “desolate”, is clear, when seen in its proper context, and not in the convoluted, science fiction-like delusional tales of today’s “left-behind prophets”:

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

As long as the Jews stay in unbelief they can’t be saved, can’t be grafted back into the Olive Tree:

Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

So we come back to the scripture we started with:

Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

For the unbelieving, apostate Jews in man-made Israel their only hope is the Messiah, Jesus Christ! Therefore to truly bless the Jew you must preach the Gospel to them. To send money to build separation walls, or to rebuild a Temple, or to bring more unbelievers to an unbelieving nation is utter foolishness and reveals a complete lack of understanding of God’s Word. Some believe that the following verses mean that all Israel will be saved when the Lord returns:

Zec 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

If it were true that the verses above meant that the Jews in man-made Israel are the descendents of the Children of Israel and they don’t have to accept Jesus as Messiah to reenter the Promised Land, then why was the Gospel preached to their ancestors first? If the Jews alive at the end shall see Jesus and realize that they, or their forefathers were wrong, and mourn for the one they pierced, and be saved, what of the millions of Jews who didn’t live to the Messiah’s return? Just bad luck for them, bad timing, sorry? Or is there some kind of a purgatory for the Jews who’ve died between Christ’s first and second coming? Of course not, and once again as Jesus said, no one comes to the Father but through Him. God Himself will bring a remnant back to Israel when He decides to restore the Kingdom of Israel, just as He saved a remnant from Israel before the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD. He won’t need the UN or America or the ADL or CUFI or AIPAC or the IDF to do it for Him!

Do you Support Israel? My answer to that is when God reestablishes Israel I’ll support it fully! In the meantime I’ll continue to try to preach the True Gospel to the Christian and Jewish Zionists and pray that some might turn from apostasy to salvation.
