Have Ye Never Read the Scriptures?

I've been troubled by some of the things I've read on Facebook and other websites for a while now.  I've seen "The Bible is an  idol", or " "Some people are victims of the bible", idol, victim? What????  I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but how do you separate God from His Word?

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Apparently some believe that the Bible is NOT the inspired Word of God?  Or they are so spiritually superior to the rest of us that they no longer need it.  I'm not going to play word games, or get into a semantic argument about this, I will say plainly, you are wrongly interpreting the scriptures used to back up your reasons for diminishing the importance of reading the Bible.  The Lord communicates to us through His Word and through the Holy Spirit, but I strongly advise all of you to check what you hear, put it up against His Word, make sure it is indeed the Lord's Will, and not the flesh creeping in.  If you think yourself too learned or spiritual to have to bother to do that, you are heading for a fall I'm afraid.

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Mat_21:42  Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Mat_21:16  And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

If you are still feeling like you don't need your Bible, starting with the book of Genesis recite from memory through the book of Revelation, no peeking, no cheating, if you can do that, then I'll agree with you.

Many people today that call themselves Christians and followers of Jesus, through their words and actions are turning people away from Christ. As followers of Christ, we are expected to share the love and mercy of Christ to others not only with our words, but more so by our actions. We are to strive to be as much like Christ as we can be. When an unbeliever sees a Christian, everything about our lives and attitudes should make them want to know our God, so that they too can experience the same peace and love they see in us. Sadly, the majority of the church today preaches war and hate. The obsession with the state of Israel has become the worship of the state. No matter what they do, these SOI worshipers continue to support the crimes. I personally have Christian friends in Palestine. The church here in the US refuses to acknowledge they exist, much less offer support. The outside world sees this. Who wants to become a part of a religion that is so full of hate ? For some reason, the church today feels that they need to bring on a war, in order to hurry the return of Christ. I mean really? Who wants to become a part of a faith where it's own members have so little faith in it's own God, and believes that it is their place, due to their God's inability, to make things happen to hurry up their own salvation ? No matter how many people they must kill to get there. These same church people that can not get enough of war, fight tooth and nail to keep gay people out of their military, then turn around and send Israel millions each year, and it is ok that Israel has proudly allowed gay people to openly serve in their military. What is the difference? Other then once again the church looking as evil as possible.
The church today is not known for love, mercy or compassion, just the opposite. Instead of following the teachings of Christ, instead of bringing others to Christ, the Church is more interested in politics, spreading hate and praying for wars and supporting a secular state created from communism (zionism) that hates Christ. Even the Jewish people of faith have and still do fight against Zionism.
The Church needs to worry about what we are commanded to do, and stop trying to control the world. Trust me, MY God can take care of that. When the Church does what they are suppose to do, God will bless our country with the leaders we deserve. Supporting a Jewish State is NOT how we are blessed. Supporting OUR Savior is how we are blessed. In 1948 our country was strong, moral, healthy and growing in the right direction. Since the US gave it's support to the Zionist State, and then the church, evil, porn, drugs, have spun out of control. Where are these blessings if believers are suppose to support the Zionist state?
So, if you wonder why and how so many people seem to be anti- Christian, what I have written is just a start.

Cyndy,

I agree with much of what you have to say, although it doesn't really have anything to do with the article you posted the comment on. Except in a general sense, that the moneyed elite, for a couple centuries now have been perverting the Gospel through control of seminaries, denominations, schools and publishing and mainstream media companies. In my opinion, most of these organizations are either Zionist controlled or beholden to Zionist influence, and have given us the "Church" today, lost, deceived, with ears that won't tolerate sound doctrine.

Daniel,
It is because of these Zionist controlled "Christians" that have turned so many people against anything Christ. It is disturbing how many people who a few years ago had enough respect for Jesus and His followers, to not post or say horrible things toward Christ or the Church, but will now post comments that break my heart.
Sorry if my rant went off in the wrong direction. I tend to do that no matter the subject. :0}
Even though I know that God is Always in Control, at times I still want people to see the truth so badly that I try to take control.
Thanks Daniel for your Blog. It really is a blessing to my life.

Cyndy,

Thanks for your kind words, my only fellowship comes by way of the Internet, seems there are few of us who understand the true nature of the Israel of God and Satan's counterfeit Israel. Look for me on Skype or email me and you can join our little band of believers, we try to fellowship with each other as much as possible.
