If Another Shall Come In His Own Name, Him Ye Will Receive

Joh 5:43 - 44 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

People fall all over themselves making excuses for the evil done by the police/military forces. Coming up with ignorant idioms like “if they weren't doing anything wrong they wouldn't have to worry about illegal search and or seizures.” Or “we have to fight them over there so as not to have to fight them here”. We are taught obedience to the government at an early age, and it is drummed into our heads as we grow up. The consequences of not obeying are shown to us forcefully, repetitively, and many cheer as “justice” is dispensed by the powers that be.

But, what about obedience to God? What about obeying the Lord's Commandments (John 14:15, 21, 15:10)? Rather than teaching that at your local “church” you're taught doublespeak, explaining away the true meaning of the Word of God. We get traditions taught, making the Word of God of no effect (Mat 15:6).

Everything is turned upside down in this world, people act as if they have no fear of God, but much fear of the government. It's understandable, but completely against the Word of God. Nobody wants to get beat up by the police, or have their children taken away, or go to prison, but all these things pale in comparison to the return of the Lord:

Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Luk 21:25 - 28 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Of course we can't change the whole world, but we can get our families turned around, and serving the Lord. Do not make compromises with this wicked world just to “get along.” Trust the Lord, do that which is right and just stand on the promises, fear no man

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
